About — Profile

Meshi Michaeli Levi.

the blonde

Meshi Michaeli Levi is the founder of Tattoo Club Herzliya — a studio, a school, and a personal editorial brand rolled into one. She has been tattooing for over a decade, training artists for the last six years, and writing about ink, identity, and the life around the chair for as long as she's had an Instagram account worth reading.

Her work lives at the intersection of fine-line tattooing and fashion editorial — precise, intentional, and unafraid of negative space. The Meshi the Blonde journal is where that point of view gets room to breathe: longer pieces on process, on clients, on the strange dignity of marking skin.

The first thirty minutes matter more than the last three hours.

A client came in today with a Pinterest board and a story about her grandmother. We spent the whole first half not talking about the tattoo. By the time I picked up the pencil, the design had already written itself. The chair is mostly listening.

Fine line is the most demanding line there is.

There's a fantasy that thin equals easy. It's the opposite. A thick line forgives a shaky hand; a fine line shows you everything. I tell every apprentice the same thing: if you can hold a clean single-needle line for ten seconds, you can hold anything.

Ten years and I still get the feeling before every piece.

Not nerves exactly — more like the quiet before a performance. You're about to put something on someone that will outlive the both of you. That deserves a little gravity. The day I stop feeling it is the day I stop.
